Tierra Verde

Tierra Verde is truly a secluded island located at the southern tip of Pinellas County, easily accessible from Interstate 275. Development began in the early Eighties and has soared since. There is a full service marina, various shops and tasty restaurants but the peaceful area is famous for Fort De Soto Park, named after the sixteenth century Spanish Conquistador, Hernando De Soto. With over three miles of golden sandy beaches, Fort De Soto Park had fishing piers, boating ramps, picnic areas, campsites and hiking trails. Over 300 species of birds have been sighted at the park. With all of the various activities the park has to offer, both young and old will enjoy visiting Fort De Soto Park. The park's entrance is at the end of the Pinellas Bayway. A relaxing waterfront community, Tierra Verde is snuggled between the breezy Gulf of Mexico and tranquil Tampa Bay. Properties are mostly Intracoastal townhomes and condominiums with some single family homes.
