St. Pete Beach has a gorgeous seven-mile beachfront that is one of the world's most popular vacation destinations. With more than 10,000 permanent residents, it is joined to the mainland by the St. Pete beach Causeway to the North and the Pinellas Bayway at the South. The closet beach to a major interstate, sparkling St. Pete each is only five minutes from I-275. Formed through consolidation of four independent communities in 1957, the city is composed of three islands, surrounded by the flowing waters of the Gulf of Mexico, Tampa Bay and the Intracoastal Waterway. The city shortened its name to St. Pete Beach in 1994. Its most well known land mark is the Don Cesar Beach Resort and Spa, a grand, four-star, pink hotel. Every activity imaginable is available, including snorkeling, sailing, deep-sea fishing, jet skiing, biking, parasailing, and rollerblading in this southernmost beach community. Brimming with entertainment, fine shops, cafes, elegant restaurants, and comedy clbs arer some of the diversions that St. Pete Beach offers. The selection of properties varies widely from inland, Intracoastal and Gulf front. Property types are quaint beach cottages, single family homes, townhomes, mid- to high-rise condominiums. |
