Clearater Beach is a world-renowed destination that is most famous for its fine, white powdery sand. Approximately four miles in length, Clearwater Beach is actually a corporate part of the City of Clearwater. The pituresque Memorial Causeway connects the beach to the downtown district. Year round, the evening sun sizzles into the Gulf creating spectacular sunsets. These have inspired local artists, musicians and performers to hold Sunset Festivals at Pier 60 each Thursday through Monday, In addition, the city operates a free Jolley Trolley which runs from North Clearwater Beach over the bridge south to Sand Key, so leave your ar at home! Sailing, charter fishing, scooters, wvolleyball, windsurfing, jet skiing, parasailing, gambling cruises, comedy clubs, fine dining and shopping are some of the diversions this town offers. About one mile before Clearwater Beach off the Memorial Casuseway is Island Estates, a deed restricted, waterfront community. Noted for its fine waterfront homes and condominiums, Island Estates has a grocery store, many fine shops, restaurants and a marina. |
